The hydra is  designed to allow a player to get a better experience from games by coordinating between real-life player movement to in game character movement.

Here I will share my own experience with the hydra and the thoughts I got on can it deliver

Razer Hydra Review Unboxing

Unboxing was never really my thing, and I rarely watch unboxing videos on youtube so forgive me if im not to exited about the hydra box.

The box the hydra comes with (look on the picture on the right) is pretty casual it looks good but nothing to fancy The hydra comes with manuals and disks to make your install pass much more smother.

Gaming with the hydra is super fun using the motion controls for games like battlefield bad company 2, world of warcraft and skyrim just makes the gaming experience much more fun. You get to feel even more as if you live in the games and the most important part you are hell of a lot faster using the hydra.

Razor Hydra Review – What I Liked

Overall, the hydra is a super awesome tool for casual and normal players alike.

It got an easy to use interface so far it worked with all of my games even “gotham city impostors” which is pretty much a troll(funny game with no really logic) game.

The way you can move your hand and actually move your player is super awesome and makes it a lot more fun and allows you to play better.

Razer Hydra Review –  What I didn’t like.

The razer hydra problem I found that on the first three days of playing my wrist was hurting from all the movement I wasn’t used to doing.

But I guess besides the extra exercise I got after three days the pain faded off, and now I can use the hydra on a regular basis and for things like an eight hour of playing call of duty 3 with my friends.

Razer Hydra Review - Role Playing With The Hydra Any Good?  A First hand experience

From my point of view if you’re playing role-playing games your main purpose is to enjoy the story and enjoy the experience, so anything that gives you more of that experience is great anything that makes it problematic to enjoy,  must go.

I admit using the keyboard is normal and feel very safe as I’m pretty sure I was on the computer form the age of 8 or something like that. Truly at the beginning you will work better with the keyboard, but once you take a hold of the razer hydra in a couple of hours everything will change.

If you ever played the wii/ps3 move/xbox360 kinect you know how fun it is to move as your player move but often times for that you need to let go of many graphic elements or sometimes fewer story lines becouse the game was designed with more movements in mind then the story, which for me is a big no.(you might also like to read  razer hydra review)

How Great will it be running around your best PC games moving as your character moves running and slashing as he does?

A fun thing with the hydra is going into skyrim stealing stuff and slaying dragon’s when the movement of your hands are the movements of your hero and not just a mouse click, putting a bucket on someone’s head or killing a scary beast gets a new meaning and another factor of fun.

How hard is it to get used to this new way of playing, well it probably will depend on you it usually takes 10-20 minutes to get used to it. However, you just might be like one of my friends who came to visit picked the hydra remot and instantly went out to kill things, as if he was burned with the hydra in his hands.

The hydra is a very intuitive remote and works extremely well in role playing because of the the simple yet effective design with the ability to slash with your hand movments and shot on the hydra trigger allow you to enjoy the games alot more and sepficly role playing games.

Shooters – Shooter games are games I really do like and the truth, there’s not many  things that come close

When trying out shooters with the razer hydra it can be somewhat confusing for the first few minutes but when you start to get the hang of it, the razer hydra allows you to get more out of your gaming by giving it a more real life experience when you play and move at the  same time its just much more fun.

 

The  hydra Can Help You Be Better In Shooting Games(fps)

To start with you can reduce your response rate dramatically and when I say
dramatically I do mean A LOT.

Because the ways the hydra is designed your movents are controlled
by using your left thumb and your right hand for turning and pivoting.

It does sound a bit confusing, and I admit at the start it was pretty confusing but after an hour or two of playing your favorite fps game(mine was code 3)
you will get the hang of it and it. This will leave you with a lot more time checking the map spotting snipers and storming enemies.

Knifing using the hydra – killing someone in game with a knife is pretty fun. You probably know this scenario: ” you got two man shooting at your back
you press the shift button and start running into the nearest house for shelter the moment you go in your notice an enemy in there he see’s you, you see him and in that flicker of a second a knife is pulled out and your dead.”

Doesn’t that suck? I seriously hate when I get knifed by people, and I really hated back then when enemy territory came out with that stupid sound like a sheep when you get knifed in the back.

Any ways back to topic while running, strafing or shooting the knife button in the hydra(which can be changed) is located straight on the right stick at the top button (I’m pretty sure it’s called rt) basically this means the button is set for your index/middle finger, now imagine this scenario:(you might also like to read this razer hydra review)

Your running around shooting people with your new hydra controls and as you reload your gun you decide its time to move a place before somebody comes to get you, as you turn around you see an enemy not a millisecond pass as u simply click the button on your hydra and a big green finds its way to your face.” .

I enjoyed playing the hydra a lot all do it tock me about 30 minutes to adjust to this type of game play now i can’t go without it,

the gaming experience and what’s most important my score! Is now much better and i maintain a very high kill death ratio.

The first few days where of studying  but  this I expected, what i didn’t expect is the slight pain in wrists.

But after 2 weeks of playing i got used to it, and now i can play 8+ hours straight and  all is good.
